At the end of the training course
you will have an overview about the different CAN bus types, their development history, function principles and message structures
you will be able to identify the CAN bus topology in different VW vehicles, their participating components and gather all necessary routing information out of the current flow diagrams in ELSA Win
you will know and be able to use the VAS 5051 diagnostic equipment (especially DSO and measuring value blocks) and the MultiVis software tool to analyse and understand CAN bus messages and data protocols
you will be able to troubleshoot and repair defective CAN bus connections and carry out function tests and error simulation tasks
you will have an overview of Safety and Cleanliness Guidelines and Instructions applicable for repair and maintenance works in CAN bus systems
